I’m trying to customize the Valentine lltemplate but for the love of God it will not change the wallpaper when I use the lightning setting. Any suggestions?

Just purchased LL and getting it at up. I feel like some actions with LL aren’t very quick or “snappy”. One thought was animations. Like the desktop context menu appears to have a very brief pause then fades into view. Any idea how to make it react faster or disable the animation?
