Are you talking about the count of new messages in your primary? #SUG# would be the variable you want.

Hmm. Thanks for your response. And yes, this is what I was referring to but this isn’t working for me either.

Okay. first, thanks for your time. Second when you said to use “#SUG#” as my variable you meant for me to enter that in the  “Expert Fomat”  area under DATA after selecting customize, correct?

Wait, I am so sorry. I am in my Zooper frame of mind… #SUG# is a Zooper variable, not Lightning Launcher. I need to pay attention to the forum next time. For LL Dynamic Text — all you should need to do is add a Dynamic Text piece and set it to Text to Display – unread Gmail count. If that’s not working for you, I’m not sure what to tell you as it works fine on mine.

No problem. Easy mistake as use that as well. But otherwise I’ve already got the gmail account displaying. It shows the count for everything though. I just want the count for my PRIMARY account which is a much lower number. Do you know how to do this.

I believe by default, it does show the primary email count. It does for me and didn’t reauire any special setup/config. Hopefully, Pierre Hébert will chime in on this one.

Not for me. I can get zooper (and have been) to do it but I’d rather use LLX as it’s response is a little quicker for me. Thanks for trying though.

I haven’t been able to get this working myself. It always says 0 and as I type this I have 15 unread emails. Is this supposed to get it’s info from the gmail app or another email app? My phone uses Gingerbread so maybe this only works on 4.+ of android. I’d be curious to know what version of android you guys have.

Ron, I’m thinking your issue is probably that Gingerbread is not supported where my issue is that it’s not (yet) an option to select specific folders. Hopefully someone else will chime tomorrow.

What’s good Jacob Nyhart …… I thought it was odd that LL had the same variables as ZW lol

Okay, I’m guessing since no one has come up with an answer or solution I’d like to make this an official request. 🙂 I hereby request to have an option in LLX to select which folder is being polled/read for the gmail account under Dynamic Text settings. Thank you.

To Pierre Hébert or anyone that’s in the know. Is there a way to do this or do I need make a separate request? Thank you.
