Which Music Player do you use?

Which Music Player do you use?

– If your player is not in the comments, write it down (one player per comment)

– if it is already there, give it +1

(I use this type of survey, because google plus only allows up to 5 fixed answers).

I will check the more popular players and try to add support for them to my Metadata script. If you know that some players already work, you can tell me too.

Юрий Гуленко maybe it wasn’t there a few years ago when I was deciding which player to use. If it was, I was either unable to find it, or it didn’t meet my requirements. Don’t remember honestly.

Lukas Morawietz Just a reminder that there is currently two different versions of Poweramp right now. There is the 2.x version that has been the standard for a very long time now and then there is the new alpha version. Normally I wouldn’t suggest that you consider an alpha version when adding support for different apps but the alpha version is very solid and as such it is being used as the primary player for a large group of people. It will most likely work since the 2.X version already works but you might want to check and see if it will require any modification and additional coding in your script. There are a lot of under the hood changes in the new version and it is vastly superior to the 2.X version so the number of users running the new version is going to grow.

I’m using the alpha myself. The API didn’t change.

Xenoamp won’t be possible. It does not broadcast its status (at least I didn’t find any infromation for it).

So I updated the script with all the named players but the two in the previous comments. Also: albumcover support (only Poweramp).

Lukas Morawietz that’s fine it’s not getting any better the more updates it’s getting the worse it has become.

it might work with the script in this post https://plus.google.com/+LukasMorawietz/posts/3bJT3N8mapr, just not with the first one.

Just an FYI, it did work with media utilities. Until media utilities stopped.

(I keep switching between these two. Both are excellent, IMO.)
