Just create a widget to the left and right of the center screen. Then Enter Edit mode > Add > Stop Scrolling Point.

Now the only thing left to do is to go into Customize Lightning > Current Screen > Zooming and Scrolling > and uncheck Snap to Pages.

    horizontal scroll gustavo 😉

uncheck snap to pages  (zooming and scrollin)

ckeck use scroll stops (zooming and scrolling)

add scroll stops (at least one) at the right end of widget (or whatever) on the right.

I can’t waych the video. But this is what I assume.

He disable “snap to page” on scrolling setting and use “stop point” which makes the screen pause at some point but doesn’t really stop there. If he used 3 screens, overscrolling would show the empty spaces.

But if he used only two screen: He put the Main screen widget (which is the clock with backgroud wallpaper) at the middle (not exactly middle) of two screen.

Does that mean he used 3 screens??

So what will happen if he overscroll?

If you used 3 screens to make it. Stop points are useless because it doesn’t really stop there but just pause. I already request this to Pierre Hébert.  A true stop point, so we can make these kind of designs easier. :’)

I just tried the 2 screens trick I mentioned. And there’s a problem. When I press back button, it takes me to the main screen (right screen) which is not supposed to be the main screen I wanted, because the fullscreen widget (which is supposed to be the main screen I want) is in the middle of two screens. So pressing back button takes me to the right screen. Is there a way to disable the function of “back” button or atleast an option to edit its function?

Scroll stops works fine as they are, specialy when you need more than one in the same direction 🙂 just scroll sofz and it’s perfect

gerd reuter Yeah, but like the Theme on the video. The look will be mess if you overscroll.

e.g. someone borrow your phone and he will be like “Uhmm.. What happened?, I just swiped it”

If this is your single problem…

gerd reuter Jhonbert Magana Pierre Hébert  I agree, I think there should be a scroll pause marker and a second marker that denotes a custom page edge, so that overscrolling is not possible at all should the layout require.

This is one of the first reason why I discontinued my Glazz8 (win8 desktop inspired screen) project. My tiles only consumed 2 and a half screens, and whenever I overscroll, Screen shows me an odd empty screen space.

In the LL settings, go to “Zooming and Scrolling” and check “Fit desktop to items”.

It still overscrolls the stop point. Kaleb McKinnis

That’s weird; I just tried it on mine and it stops at the scroll point, even with snap-to-pages turned on.

The other day, I had an item disappear when I tried to Pin it. After that, the desktop had some extra space at the right, as if there was an invisible, unselectable tile there. No settings changes would fix it so I nuked the layout and it works again.

It actually works on my right screen, but not on the left screen O_O?

On the right screen it doesn’t go to the very edge of the screen like yours, It’s like there’s an invisible item next to the stopp point.

Yes it’s working! No need for the “true Stop point” function! Pierre Hébert 😀

I am still having problems when I want to scroll to the right of the page. this i what I did, Put tl zooper widgets , one in the left and one in the right in the main screen…then as Bill said i just Enter Edit mode > Add > Stop Scrolling Point.

Then i went to , Customize Lightning > Current Screen > Zooming and Scrolling > and uncheck Snap to Pages. I do not have very clear how to set up the stop points… Do you think that somebody could make a tutorial for newbies in how to achieve this ?? Thank you guys,,,

Gustavo Luis Soto the best practice in my opinion is to set the stop point at the edge of a widget/app.

    If you want the effect just like in the video, This is the easiest way for me;

NO need to put a stop point. Just Check the “Fit to desktop”.

Oh but you need a stop point between widgets so it will make a “pause” effect.

Jhonbert Magana .for example I was trying to reproduce this effect in my phone. Look at the right widget , I just figure out that is a stop point at the right edge of the page,at the end of the zooper widget, just to stop there.. I disabled overscrolling and also fir desktop to items. But here is the question, when I swipe left the first widget (the one that has the clock) , I have this situation… If I wipe it and leave it, it stops at the left edge of the widget that is at the bottom, But if I grad it, it does not stop at that point. Am I making something wrong  …

Stop points takes effect only when you swipe gently, not when you scroll hard like there’s no edges.

    < ![CDATA[

Jhonbert Magana Yes thats correct and also do not take effect when you drag,,,

Let’s wait for the “snap to stop point” feature. :”)
