Hey, trying out the new beta.

Hey, trying out the new beta. Glad to see theme app included. Will icon pack support be improved? For example, I’m setting mui5 as icon pack, then selecting another pack, but it doesn’t change. Also I change an app’s icon to another one from another pack, but mui5’s default background stays under the custom icon there.

I’d like to add that LL is really great. One feature that sets it apart for me is, ability to put pinned items in background. This really makes difference.

The theme manager app is not included (and won’t be, too big I think).

I will work on improving support for icon packs (ADW only currently, maybe other format later). I am aware of problems with some of them. Could you give me the name of the failing pack so that I can have a look at it ?

The default background should be reset too, if it does not work, then this is probably a bug !

I too am having issues applying icon packs… Tried motif, aired and flatro all without luck… I did get a at least one to work (faded)

Pierre Hébert  I’ve tested MIUIv5 , Minimalist, and Through Glass icon packs. None of them work properly, except MIUIv5 puts custom background to everything. I can select individual icons in packs though.

Ahhh ! I found the problem : the location of the app filter is not the same for all packs 🙂 The fix is easy and I tested successfully on MIUIv5, Through glass and Motif. Minimalist will not work because this pack as not app < -> icon table, it can only be used to pick individual icons.

I have mentioned Miui5 backgrounds acting persistent on other icons, this seems to disappear after restart.

After restart ? Oh… yes, I think I understand now, thanks for the tip. This is an optimization to prevent a few things from being updated, but a restart will force everything to be updated of course. Should be solved in the release, thanks.
