I don’t know if I have to rise this here or I should but it as a bug.

I have just got my Nexus 6, flashed last lollipop (I don’t need Marshmallow at the moment), rooted, xposed installed. I’m facing a lag when I scroll a panel. If I change the setting of Desktop >> Scroll >> overscroll animation to any value. It works fine for sometime then the issue returns again.
Anyone else facing this issue.

And without xposed?

Some people have been reporting something similar from time to time, but not sure if Pierre Hébert has found the cause yet.
Personally the bug you describe happens for me on a panel with seamless X, but only when I zoom out while in edit mode.

Jay M I will give it a try . Although, I wasn’t facing this in my previous Note 3 even with xposed.

I was going to reply that I don’t know what the issue is but at the same time I was playing with panels on my N7 and found a way to reproduce the issue (or at least something similar). I’ll investigate now…

Pierre Hébert I found that the issue is produced over time. If I kill LL, the issue is gone and comes back after sometime.

Pierre Hébert I reproduced this. I don’t know if this is the only reason.
Try to change the orientation from portrait to landscape then back to portrait.

Thanks for the hint. Also, could you tell me what is the effect of disabling hardware acceleration on the panel item please (last option in the Misc properties tab) ?
On my device there is something broken here and I suspect the behavior may be device dependent.

When I disable the option. The panel lags without any change in the orientation (producing the issue).

Pierre Hébert, is it normal to have the items duplicated (the seamless mode I mean) in edit mode?

Abdullah Alahdal interesting, this might indicate that the issue is the same.
On my device this isn’t even a lag, the panel isn’t refreshed at all (and don’t move). Maybe there is some periodic update on your setup that forces a refresh, allowing the panel to be refreshed from time to time. Last question: is your panel size beyond 2048 pixels in a direction in landscape and not in portrait ? (hw accel are disabled if size is above 2048).
TrianguloY no, this isn’t!

Pierre Hébert how can I know the size.
BY the way, this was working fine in my previous phone Note 3. I didn’t ever faced this issue.

You can use the geometry toolbox, but if the panel is attached to the grid you will have to multiply by the grid cell size, or detach the panel then undo.
Yes, the Android rendering framework has subtle differences between versions.

I checked it is 1440 x 690.
I don’t know if it is important to highlight. If the display specs in like size and density is different, will it make difference. Should I recreate the panel (Ooh! no. This is to much :s).

It may make a difference when you share a template between different devices, because of rounding when scaling items and imperfect handling by Lightning Launcher.

A new beta will appear soon. I hope it will fix the issue with panel scrolling, although I am not sure of what happen exactly here…

The issue has gone. I think 🙂

Good news, let’s see how it works in the long term.

Unfortunately my lag persist:
It lags when zooming out the panel with the seamless x enabled.
As I said even in edit mode the seamless mode is active, and I think this is the problem.
