Lukas Morawietz i would suggest to think about what you want to write before you do it. It”s not very nice what you are writing about others work. as i wrote before in another post.
I really would like to see a “design” from you.
If you don”t like some suggestions it mightt be enough to write this and norhing else.
gerd reuter First you may have noticed, I’m not a good designer and I said that thousand times. I don’t have that much time ATM and don’t like to design. That’s why you haven’t and probably won’t see an icon made by me.
Second my comment is constructive. I tell what I like and what not and why. IMO its a lot better to write it like this than just write “I don’t like this, I don’t like that”.
Third I don’t want to insult anybody, I just think there were already better icons.
Fourth I think the word “ugly” bothers you. Should I better use “unsightly”,”unprepossessing” or “grotesque”? My language is harsh, get used to it.
Ever heard of “youth language”?
Fifth you may have noticed that I long said nothing about all these icons. Now that I get spammed with 10 of them daily since a month or so I think this should come to an end. If everybody just says what he thinks about an icon we may come to a faster end. Even if not everthing is positive. When I just +1 every icon which comes into my feed we’re not getting anywhere.
Finally we are all free to express our opinion and I won’t stop doing that. If you have a problem with that you’re probably living in the wrong country.

I actually like the original one, altough beside the text there is nothing reminding me of LL.
But: The x is terrible! It creates a three layer, confusing, and IMO ugly icon.
