I have a question about shortcuts when using scripts.

I have a question about shortcuts when using scripts. I try to make an page indicator and as I could see in the ‘how to use this script’, I have to add an shortcut. Is this the shortcut offered in the ‘add item’ menu? And if yes, which one, there are actually three related to LL, add L action, add L bookmark and a third one I can’t remember?

  1. Normally you can add any shortcut. I always use LL action -> Lock (do nothing), because I’m sure this can’t interfere, but basically it doesn’t matter.

Which script do you want to use?

  2. Cro Pirate says:

    simple page indicator

  3. I can’t find it in the repo. could you link it?

  4. Yes you can definetly use any shortcut for this. You probably also want to hide the icon and make it unclickable.

thanks Lukas Morawietz, but I think I do something very wrong, I did everything as described and now I have a pinned ‘-‘ on my desktop, never mind this will be now my project for the evening 😰

  6. Uhm, yes. The script can’t work…

I think there are several mistakes.

    1. Name the item ‘—‘, don’t label it

    2. It will only work correct with exactly four horizontal pages.

  7. The Description of the Script is not updated.

    1 Put Shortcut labeled > named ‘—‘ (3 strokes)

    2. works only horizontal.

  8. Cro Pirate says:

sorry guys, but where is the ‘name’ option, I only see the ‘edit label’

  9. Item Menu -> Customize -> more -> +

gerd reuter, me again, after a little research I decided to take the script offered on your amazing website, the first one on your tips and tricks site, I think I did everything right but when scrolling my desktop I get an syntax error in line 72. What am I doing wrong?

  11. Danijel Bračko can you post me line 72?

  12. Cro Pirate says:

I never used js, have some Linux background, but what I realized right now is that your script shown in the LL script editor has about 90 lines, but when I open the script in my Turbo editor it has 71 lines. The LL script editor doesn’t show lines so I had to count myself. Shouldn’t that be the same if it’s copy paste? But that’s an other question, maybe stupid one. Good old txt files.

  13. Danijel Bračko difference s mostly the line breaking. I wlll have a look at the script the next days

  14. Danijel Bračko seams to me something is broken during copying the script. Best would be to load the template from the link. Load it and the script will be there as you need. You can delete the desktops after or look at them to study.

gerd reuter taadaa, it works, probably this didn’t happen if I downloaded the script this way the first time, so really appreciate your time and help. By the way, the description in your themes brings it to the point, if you’re not willing to learn just leave it. I stumbled upon really interesting stuff on my search for answers, so this c/p problem was the best thing that could happen to me. Danke noch einmal. Lukas Morawietz thanks for your help too
