My first Lightning Launcher try.

My first Lightning Launcher try. Seeing some of the cool stuff gerd reuter keeps posting using LL Extreme inspired me to give it a go. It’s got a steep learning curve, so I know mine isn’t as functionally cool as Gerd’s are, but I am pleased with it nonetheless.

Apps:

Lightning Launcher Extreme (5×8 desktop)

Zooper Widget Pro

Popup Widget Pro

Media Utilities

Power Toggles

Tasker

Features:

– Quick access to your phone, messaging, mail, browser, and app drawer whether the slider is closed or open.

– Quick Weather View with tap link to your favorite weather app.

– Notifications for missed calls, SMS, and GMails.

From the bottom of the main homescreen:

– My daily MOTD widget popup that I’m still building (in this case, it displays a daily bible verse, and will be customizable in final release).

– A calendar widget popup. I am still working on some design elements to make it more interactive (ie, select different months and years).

– A custom media player popup built on the MU GA framework.

Hidden Shortcuts

– Sliding open the slider to initial stop point reveals the background and any shortcuts you want to hide from the desktop.

– You will also find shortcut links to the camera and gallery (hidden so you don’t inadvertently access either app while the phone is in your pocket).

– Indicators: Bluetooth connection indicator, battery status/level, and WiFi status that changes to cell status when WiFi is disconnected.

– Sliding the slider past the stop point reveals the toggle bar. Since Power Toggles doesn’t have a vertical bar available, I am building a vertical bar using single bar widgets (or in Zooper and Tasker – depends on how ambitious I feel).

Feel free to comment – the good, the bad, the ugly.

I hope we can lure more users here in the community with these awesome set ups. I’ll post mine with a link to this community. More users, more stress for Pierre Hébert. :”)

Jacob Nyhart really awesome. I like the contrast between the general gray desktop and these few colored items, and in particular the wallpaper.

BTW, what is MU GA framework (sorry if this is a dumb question…)
