If I remove the app drawer from the home page, which other way can I go to all the apps fast? Is it possible to swipe from home screen to the apps pane? What I’m trying to do is keep a clean home screen. Want to get to everything else (other panes, app folder) through swipe gestures.

No, this need internet access.
(Also I would suggest not to worry too much about organizing the app drawer: add your apps on the desktop, and leave the app drawer closed, this will save you time as well as cpu/memory)
