Panels are great!

However, I have a problem with showing widgets which are more than one row high inside a panel. The default height of a panel is one row who means that a 2 row high widget gets truncated (see photos).

I’m probably missing something obvious, but does anyone know how to increase the height of a panel to be 2 rows high?

  1. Long pressing inside the panel will bring up the popup menu for this panel. Then simply choose Panel settings and change your row number in the layout section.

Lukas Morawietz I tried that (in the screen shots shown the row height is set to 3). That setting I presume controls how many rows are available inside the panel, it doesn’t affect the height of the panel on the screen on my m8.

Joern Rapsky I’m trying to change the height of the panel, rather than the height of the widget. The most obvious setting, row height, doesn’t change the visible height of the panel.

There are different options in edit mode for panels and folders (eg the option to set the height and width of an expanded folder. This option, with a + and – to control the width and height of the folder doesn’t do anything when a panel is selected rather than a folder.

    :(

  4. Andrew M Postings ah, I misunderstood you. Edit Layout on Parent container, select panel and resize it with the handles or the geometry editor.

Lukas Morawietz that doesn’t work either. In edit mode the sides of the panel aren’t resizable. I’ll load some more screen shots of what I think should change the height of the panel but doesn’t (Google+ doesn’t allow photos to be added to an existing post)

Post continued on the following so that I can post some more screen shots: https://plus.google.com/104271262832831435370/posts/cpNxWd4wL4r
