Very nice mate. I’ve just started using LL, so when you say “slide away the homescreen” how are you doing that ?

Is the whole homescreen within a panel or a folder ? I could use something like this for a screen i’m working on.

Shaun Fahey thanks..yes its in a panel and I’m using stop points so the sliding screen stops where I need it too

Jeff Ludlow Ok mate, thanks for that. I’ll look into stop points

Jeff Ludlow  Yeah, i’ve seen on other posts people having a hard time with them. Another question i have, when you side the home screen away to show the sidebar, is the panel holding the home screen on a layer on top of the sidebar ?

Shaun Fahey no i have the sidebar pinned in the panel

Jeff Ludlow So, the sidebar is pinned in the same panel as the home screen, is that right ?

Jeff Ludlow  Nice one, Jeff. Thanks mate, i’m sure that will answer a few questions. I’ve still got an old S2 for the moment, so i’ll need to scale everything down a bit, but at least i can see whats going on.

I guess i can’t have a screen to the left, if i’m swiping right to show the sidebar, as a swipe right just shows the sidebar, not another screen.

I’m just thinking about how i can make a screen i’ve just finished for nova, that includes a sidebar that slides from the left work with LL.

On this setup, i tap an icon for the sidebar, and a swipe right shows the other screen, i set it up the other day in LL but it works the same as nova and uses popup widget, which i don’t want to use now im using LL

Shaun Fahey i still use popup widgets for some of my things..I’m using it now for a slide down calendar like in my mahogany theme

Jeff Ludlow  Why would you do that if you can just slide a panel down with LL. I’ve just been playing with a slide from left panel so i don’t need to use popup for my sidebar, but i like the way yours works better.

Shaun Fahey I just like the animation of the calendar or music player sliding..think it looks cool..have the calendar slide down from the top and music player slide up from the bottom

Jeff Ludlow  Good point on the popup animations. Looking forward to see how you use the stop points in this thing 🙂
