Not sure if this is one of the bugs posted… Or even by design… But if I long-press an icon on my desktop, I can’t invoke the context menu. Instead, the editor bars display until I release, then they go away. Am I missing a setting?

Well, I guess the menu has been replaced by the bars. That’s OK, but once I release my hold, they go away (not in edit mode). In edit mode, everything is OK. Meanwhile, I can utilize multi-touch and touch the editor bars while I’m holding the icon, but that’s awkward

That’s weird. I don’t have that at all.

I’m not rooted, so I can’t capture a video, but it’s similar to Danbar’s video. Long pressing causes a slight zoom out whenever the editor bars are displayed. This seems to invoke a slight cancelled move action instead of the menu popup. Pinned items behave even worse and actually drag off screen whenever my finger hasn’t moved.

I even cleared my data to ensure that it wasn’t a bad import on a recent phone wipe (plus updated Lightning).

My default long press action is Move Item, which I didn’t modify. BTW, if I switch this to Item Menu, I’ll get the menu of course, but can never trigger a drag/move

    You can:

Enable auto edit mode in General settings

    Or

Go into edit mode, and then, long click to open the menu

Yes TrianguloY both of those options work.

Although, I’m not sure why Auto Edit mode works. I thought that it only triggers edit mode upon adding an item. In this example, I’m just long-pressing an existing item, and it triggers.

Pierre Hébert I’m sure you figured this, but your last update fixed my issue. Love it so far!
