Is there a way to add custom objects to the ‘Add item…’ menu?

Is there a way to add custom objects to the ‘Add item…’ menu?

I have several different panels which contain multiple widgets that are all pretty much the same. It would be nice to be able to save the panel (including its styling and contents) to the add item menu so I can add the panel and contents all at once rather than having to add the panel and then add the widgets etc.

Curtis Sylvester Jr. I’m not requesting just wondering if there was a way to do it that I was missing. I’d guess there would be a way to make a script that does it but I wouldn’t really know where to start.

The closest you can get right now to doing that is to save each one to a style and copy that style but you won’t get all the items that are in the panel.

Workaround: export as template, import with “merge” so it creates a new desktop, then in edit-mode choose move to desktop to move the copy to the original desktop. Then you can remove the imported desktop. Not tried, but should.
