    Benoît de Chezelles Well, I’m on Nexus stock Lollipop, so it’s not. Check for yourself – launch “Search app” shortcut from LL actions, and BAM there’s orange textfield.

    Widgets on 5+ are colored with primary/accent colors (aka widget tinting). These colored are configured in the app but are mostly static. These colors are visible in other parts of the app, most notable settings where checkboxes are colored this way too.
