   This is because you can use swipe on a panel (edit layout in parent container -> long click panel -> customize -> more -> + -> events)

   It’s called gestures not events, but it’s missing on panels. It was there some versions ago! Pierre Hébert​ what happened to that?

   Swipe cannot be distinguish safely from scroll in panels because panels can contains items that can themselves scroll or not, depending on very dynamic situations. For instance panels containing panels or widgets, recursively. That’s frightening.
