Hi there!

Hi there!

I’m trying to use nine patch for the first time, but I don’t understand why in the app drawer, some of the icons don’t apply the nine patch (normal background)

Is there something I missed?

Thanks

I guess those icons are in folders in the my drawer view.

Ok, thanks, I’ve done it by save to a style, then load style for all folders one by one

Open your favorite image editor, draw a rectangle that has the attributes you would like to see, (rounded corners, drop shadows, transparencies, etc…), in an image file the size of one grid block, or smaller, from your layout. Example: my resolution is 480px X 800px, I usually use 6 X 10 grid so I have 80px X 80px squares. So I make my 9.pngs 80 x 80 or smaller. Then use an app similar to this:

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=me.denley.android.ninepatch

    It’s extremely fun and addictive!
