i would like to use bigger icons on my home screen, however when i scale them to 150% for example they appear blurred. is there a way to make the apps use higher res icons per default?

Jay M smooth icons are actually turned on. the problem is that even though the apps do supports higher res icons they do not use them when i scale them to 150%. can i make the apps think im using a higher dpi maybe?

Probably the only way is to directly pick the image file from an unzipped apk (you may be able to do that using a file explorer directly on the device). The app will only use the icon given by a special Android API related to launchers.
