   There’s no way to set a desktop as home using tasker that I know of but you can use the “go to desktop & position” in tasker It’s under “lightning launcher action”. Create a new task & select that. When you set it up it will ask what desktop you want to go to. It’s possible that a script could do it but I don’t know anything about that.

   However I would recommend to just set the current desktop instead of the home desktop, that’s the way it is intended to be done. My script is just a hack.
