You read it wrong it says use any of your desktops as a live wallpaper. Similar to how the lockscreem works pick a desktop to be the lockscreen and pick a desktop to be the livewallpaper.

Sure it is possible 😉
Use this simple script:
getConfiguration().setLiveWallpaperDesktopId(id)
Where id is the desktop identifier.
I could make the standard bookmarks work too, this would be easier to use.

You can use separate wallpapers for the system and desktop.. And app drawer… All in the settings
