Can somebody tell me if following can be achieved?
By default a folder should remain open even after an app or shortcut from that folder is launched.
But I want to customize this only for a particular folder. It should get closed as soon as an app or shortcut from that folder is launched.
I could not find such setting or might have overlooked.

If I remember correctly, there isn’t such a thing.
You can save the style though, in that same section, then load it for other folders.
