Is there any particular trick to applying Media Control permission via the newly provided apk?
Is there any particular trick to applying Media Control permission via the newly provided apk? I installed it but do not see the permission toggle on either itself or the Lightning Luncher app. I tried rebooting the phone as well as uninstalling and reinstalling the permission apk.

Hum, I just had the look at the reference documentation for this permission and it says : “Not for use by third-party applications due to privacy of media consumption”.
Also messages in logcat says : Not granting permission android.permission.MEDIA_CONTENT_CONTROL”
So this probably means that the system refuses to grant this permission to third party apps and you definitely need to be root to bypass this protection 🙁
