OK, I’ve read through the information I can find and I must have missed something. Looking in My Drawer, I find a bunch of stuff in there. For the life of me, I can’t figure out how to delete things in there. The trash can in the editing screen has always been grayed out. But I did discover that if I created a folder and dragged the icons into that, then deleted the folder that took care of it.

However, every app I’ve done that too has lost its icon. They all just have the green Android head now.

What was I supposed to do, and how do I fix this?

You were supposed to hide the items, not delete them. The drawer contains all apps per design. Not sure how to restore those deleted though. Maybe with a reload?

When I hid them from My Apps, they were hidden in other drawers as well.

the different drawers are just different views onto the same content.

Oh. Thank you. So how do I clean out “my drawer” so that it only has the items and folders that I want in it, without disturbing and of the other drawers?

I don’t think that is an intended use. If you want a desktop with a specific subset of items, use a desktop (and not the drawer). You could work around by moving unwanted items to a folder and hiding that.

I’ll try that. I still don’t understand what the “my drawer” is for, since it seems to be filled with app shortcuts that I don’t put there.

App drawer is the view of installed apps. You can either move apps in folders, or hide them, or uninstall them, but the purpose of this screen is to display installed apps and let the user pick one of them and add it to a desktop, folder or panel.

In theory moving icons in a app drawer folder and removing the folder should move back these icons in the main app drawer view. The green android icon means there’s a bug somewhere, strange. Probably hitting refresh should fix the issue though.
