This may be a stupid question, but how exactly do I run a script when I’ve finished writing it?
I’ve finished writing it in the Script Editor app, but when i long-tap my desktop, select Scripts, and then Load Script, it isn’t in the list.

In the editor, swipe right from the left of the screen to open the drawer.
There you have three checkboxes:
“Item menu” will show when long click on an item
“Lightning menu” will show when long click on a container background (you will probably need this)
“Custom menu” will show when opening the custom scripts menu
