   I never had this behaviour, it must be either a setting I don’t know of, either a device specific bug.

   It isn’t a big issue, just that I need an extra tap to access something again now. I’m running a custom lollipop rom on Note 3 so that could be the case.

   Well I have the note 3 with stock Samsung/Orange and I never had an issue. So this might come from your custom rom

   I’ve heard a bunch of people talk about lil glitches when using custom ROMs.. With a bunch of apps too, any time you alter stock that’s jus a big chance ya know.. It’s like you gotta put up with minor phenomenon to run stuff different than manufacturer designed software.. But worth it alot
