I purchased LL before there was an option to pay in the play store.

I purchased LL before there was an option to pay in the play store. I’ve since reset my phone and now I can’t install it again…

Is there an apk somewhere I can download somewhere and restore my licence or something?

I can’t help you much on that : users buy and install apps on the Play Store, using Google tools and services. The only thing that developers can do is refund using the google order number, they are not involved with purchase and install process. Make sure that you use the same google account, and look at the list “My apps & games” from the play store, all installed apps should appear here. If that’s not the case, please contact Google support.

My guess is that there was a free app in the store, that you have discontinued and now only offer the paid app?

I was using the free app for ages. Then I’ve updated it one day and it said I was a valued customer and offered to move me to the pro version for free which I did.

Then that certain version stopped working so I did an in app purchase. All of this I believe was on the same free app that you used to have.

In which case google will say this isn’t them because you’ve discontinued the free app in the store.

Please can you give me some clarification on this so I don’t waste time going to google.

Yes there is a free version and a paid version, and the free one is currently unpublished. But whatever the status of an app is, if you installed it in the past, you will always be able to install it again from the Play Store app. In addition, all purchases are kept too, in-app and paid app. Using the same google account you should be able to install again the free version and recover purchases, even if it is unpublished. Unpublished merely means not listed, the app remains installable and fully functional. Please check the “My apps” menu in the Play Store app to see if Lightning is listed here, it may be difficult to find as this list tends to become very, very long over time !

for me, i can just search lightning launcher extreme and it’ll be the first one… extreme was removed from the name but it’s still the same paid launcher.

I had a similar experience when I flashed a backup in TWRP. Playstore wouldn’t let me reinstall LLX. I had to clear Play store data to be able to reinstall.

I finally managed to work this out. Scrolling through the play store I eventually located the trial version and installed it. Unfortunately, it said the trial would expire and I couldn’t find anywhere to enter a key or licence.

But, I luckily searched through my old backups and located a titanium data backup. Now that I have installed that it’s back to the full version.

I’m a little concerned that I have to maintain a data backup and that there is no restore functionality within the app itself.

Tim Jefferies the extreme isn’t in the store anymore. there’s only trial and the app. just install the app and it soul it be full as it was before.

I have the trial version installed. But its on version 12.9. How do I get the latest version?

Hmmm. In my case, looking up Lightning Launcher Extreme shows just Lightning launcher. I don’t see the trial there. I just install Lightning Launcher and I automatically get the paid one. I’m in Sacramento, though. If I could see what your play store looks like ………. hmmmmm.

I’m getting frustrated now. Why is it so hard to get this app installed and up to date?

    Here is what I suggest:

    – make a backup of your setup, from the app, if needed

    – uninstall everything linked with Lightning

    – install again from https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=net.pierrox.lightning_launcher_extreme

If you are asked to purchase the app, please do it and send me the order number, I’ll refund it asap.
