LL crash if I tap, the only way to restore the widget is by editing and pick “choose an other widget” in the menu and this is base on 4.2

Ok I have to admit my guilt I am using your launcher on a Amazon Fire phone side loaded with Google the phone is based on android 4.2 but in fact this is not a real goggle phone but you can almost make it like one by following http://forum.xda-developers.com/fire-phone/general/fire-phone-how-to-install-google-play-t2977237.
Anyway on the advice of XDA Lightning launcher is the only third party launcher witch support widget and background image in same time, with all the other you can get only either one , so on the fire phone if I load a template with a missing template LL crash right away go to the screen “share” from that i push the home button desktop load and I click on a non present widget LL crash I get report if I click on it, Google crash but beside this small problem LL is working perfectly on Amazon 3.68 system.
I am having a lot of fun discovering all the possibilities of this great launcher and I love it So I understand if you not supporting Amazon ecosystem but maybe the issue has something to do with android 4.2

I also have a fire phone and I have the same problem if I try to do a restore. However, if it wasn’t for LL, I would have returned the fire phone already! LL makes the fire phone usable! Thanks for all your hard work!

As I understand Lightning is trying to start an Android standard component which does not exist on the Amazon derived OS, or which does not behave the same way. I have few hope to be able to solve it without experimenting with a fire phone myself…

Well today with 12 . 3 .1 the crashes have been fixed at least they have been replaced with “action not available” the only problem remaining is when I restore a backup the widgets do not get Restored with it and this behavior is only happening when I previously loaded a different backup than the one in effect.
