Folks, pretty new to LLX, coming from SmartLauncher. I wonder whether there’s a way to set LLX up in a way so that there is just exactly one desktop of exactly the screen size, for a start. I want to play with some of the features in LLX, but I kind of feel lost with all the zooming and scrolling. 😉

Create a desktop (or use an existing one) and set the following options:
× scroll direction: none
× two-finger swipe left & right: lock
In edit mode you’ll still be able to access the area around your page.

When you zoom out you see a grid each one of those boxes is a page (Not a desktop) as you can see theres millions of pages for you to use. One of those pages has a house icon on it. This is your main page all you need to do is delete any widgets/icons you might have on any other page and this will leave you with one page.
If you add a widget to your main page (remember the one with the house) and you add a widget to the page to the right left top etc of this page then you will have 2 pages and you can scroll between them.
To change the amount of desktops to 1 (Note desktops are different to pages will explain in a minute ) go into lightning settings/all settings/configure desktops you should be able to figure out how to add/remove desktops from here (if not just ask) it should be obvious which desktop is your main desktop (look for the house icon)
Desktops.
These are changed by swiping the screen with 2 fingers (can be remapped of course) each desktop can be as many pages as you want it to be and can be scrolled in any way you want. Eg. You could have 4 desktops set up for various things.
Car
Home
Work
Kids
Hope this helps and remember LLX also has a lock screen which is one of your desktops.

More exactly there are around 10e12 pages per desktop on a HD device (10000 billions) 🙂

Yeah the desktops and pages really confused me when I 1st got the launcher I thought 2 pages ment I had 2 desktops 3 pages ment 3 desktops etc but then when I found the configure desktops option it all made sense.
I think the decelerate scrolling effect that’s applied by default can be confusing aswell. Confused me anyway lol

Jay M Well actually though so far I think I understood how things conceptually look like, I am still trying to understand how much of this I need. Actually I am looking into LLX mainly because I want to have a minimal launcher that can be stripped down to the bare essentials. 😉
