All my icon labels suddenly appeared and I can’t find the global setting to turn them off in the new admin layout. Any ideas? I’m fresh out.
« Hello everyone :) (Previous Post)
(Next Post) I saw the post of Krista Wolffe about a live wallpaper, Some time back I made a wallpaper changer in Tasker that… »
Just hold down menu(or long press empty spot) – tap the pencil to enter edit mode – under text for your current desktop their should be a box for labels, uncheck it.
There is no option for text or “current desktop”. When I long press I get the little menu box, when I press the pencil it goes into a new kind of edit mode with icons on the edge of the screen. There isn’t anything related till the desktop or text.
The current desktop and icon text options are also not found in lightning settings.
Are you using the latest public version?
Yep, it updated just yesterday
I want to mention that I can hide icon labels for each icon, one at a time, but obviously that is a pain and not a usable solution which is why I’m trying to figure out where the settings are that hide all icon labels globally.
This is annoying.
Scot Ranney when you long press on a empty space do you not get a box that kinda looks like this…
Desktop #000003
(pencil,add item, menu here)
Lock
Items…
Scripts…
Settings….
Yes
I mean, yes, that’s what I get.
Scot Ranney ok, hit the pencil to enter edit mode, you should now see a tool bar on the bottom and right hand side of the screen… There is another pencil on the bottom tool bar, tap it and you should find your globals for text and everything else… Just swipe to change what your editing or tap the little grey box that says “text” or “icons” or whatever.
Now I feel stupid, that worked. I thought that little symbol was some sort of paintbrush!
Thanks!
Scot Ranney haha, no prob… Yeah I get stumped on stupid shit like that sometimes too bro, it happens.
Well I’ll be damned that is a paint brush, anyway that pulls up the globals. I didn’t like this new editor at first but now that I’m use to it I must say it’s pretty damn slick.
