Running into a problem with events.
Running into a problem with events. I’m customizing one of Lutz Linke’s presets, and I find myself unable to add swipe events to apps or shortcuts in any way that, well, works.
I go to the edit screen, go to properties, go to events, pick the swipe that I want to customize, pick the app. I go back to the desktop and…nothing. The swipe doesn’t work. I go to a shortcut that already has a swipe that doesn’t work because my phone names ‘Phone’ differently. Pick the swipe, change the app, go back to test, and it still tries to go to the wrong dialer.
Any clue what could be causing the problem?

Make sure the shortcut you need to change is really highlighted when editing.
Which template is it? Some also have tap actions in ZW widgets defined. But swipes are solely on shortcuts.

I just installed Companion, so at first it was that. I wasn’t able to get the FAB to work with my phone; the swipe actions always reverted. Then I figured maybe the scripts were overwriting something, so I went back (kinda) to Executive. (I say kinda because this is a new phone; I am just trying to replicate the modifications I made on my last phone.) I haven’t been able to change the tap action on any of the shortcuts in the phone bar, or add a swipe action to the ZW at the top of the screen. I had no problem doing that on my Galaxy S5; I have no idea what’s wrong with my Note 5.
Also, there are certain actions I can assign and others than I can assign but don’t work. For instance, I can make a swipe open the Lightning menu, but I can’t make one pull down the Notification bar. Launching a Shortcut works, launching an App does not.

Had a bit of luck today (following a bit of not-luck). I had tweaked the ZW-swipe to launch a shortcut; I tried to change that back to the app and the properties/events window did say ‘Launch an App’ but it went to the shortcut anyway.
However, when I tried resetting the ‘launch an app’ and, before selecting, refreshed the apps list? Everything worked fine and the shortcut is now in place.
If I were to guess I’d say that the app selection throws an error when the selected app doesn’t work, or just crashes or something, but the editor doesn’t handle it. It thinks the selection went fine, so as far as the editor is concerned the change was made, but the actual properties are what they were before.
