True that its unreal what we can do with this launcher Google removed widget support on Android TV and Lightning brought it right back through scripts ๐Ÿ™‚ same goes for live wallpapers. So far I managed to work around everything they took away except 1 thing but its only a matter of time.

Btw your probably wondering why I’m using special commands to remove notes and that. Basically my goal is to remove all buttons from the widget/custom view. I cant think of an alternative way to add notes though that’s why the + button is still there. I was gunna use the enter key on the keyboard to add them but that would mean no line breaks so I decided against that idea, im sure il think of something though.

Absolutely love it buddy!! Are you intending on maybe linking your “/wipeall” to a main button and the “/pop” to a button on the righthand side of each note?

Oh and I don’t mean to be a grammar nazi or anything, but the message that displays when you have no notes has a spelling error – “sum” should be “some”

I know, we all sometimes succumb to the effects of leet. Lolz

Ooooh! I only saw your comment after i posted my comment. ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™ˆ

Since you intend to remove buttons….why not make a popup with options on long-pressing a note? LLX also uses that concept in a few places like the “backup/restore template” screen…

because long pressing a custom view will take you into its edit mode. I can add buttons before I release it. Its written for myself and I don’t want them but if you do il add them.

Well, it’s not really that I want buttons. I was just thinking that most people always look for buttons to perform an action, they dont think about entering commands or even gestures. Looking at what you’ve already done, I’m pretty sure i’ll love it regardless of what you decide in terms of functionality or interface design. Good job man! I wish i knew or understood as much as you do about scripting in JS. I have sooo many awesome ideas.

I am busy designing my 1st homescreen in LLX. When i am as far as i can go with it, i’ll post it and you can decide for yourself. Hehe!

Aye I know they do im just going for something minimalistic and different. I will be adding some sort of a help screen with the commands but I think there’s only gunna be 4.

    /pop

    /wipe

    /backup

    /custom

Which are really easy to remember and hopefully its obvious what they do but nothings set in stone right now I might even scrap the command system and go for buttons instead I dunno yet. Tbh I don’t know that much either I only really started programming when scripting was added to the launcher its always been something I wanted to get into though.

Forgot to say thanks for the heads up on the spelling error my English is nearly as bad as my maths so expect spelling mistakes in all of my scripts ๐Ÿ™‚

Yeah those commands are easy to remember and they are self explanatory. No matter if gou decide on buttons, commands or gestures, I am pretty sure I’ll love the tool because you have a great sense for interface design.

Where did you learn JS? What sources can you maybe point me too?

Lmao!! You’re welcome. Oh and my math is also terrible. Hahaha!!

Thanks ๐Ÿ™‚ I learnt it from studying other peoples scripts and the codeacademy website I also had a lot of help from people in this community. The last link below is the first ever script I wrote the new script is basically a new and improved version of that script. There’s a lot to learn depending on what you want to do you will need to learn some JS/Java and Android development.

    Android https://developer.android.com/training/index.html

    Java https://docs.oracle.com/javase/tutorial/

JS https://www.codecademy.com/learn/javascript this is really good, you should start here

Awesome!!! I gotta say I am so imprezsed by the enthusiasm of the people in the community to help other people. It’s the first time I experience this in a community. So thanks a mil for taking the time to give all the support that you do and extensive answers like your last comment. I will definitely have a look at those sites.
