Question though. I’m toying with the idea of having a different desktop for home, work, and driving. Each desktop would have specific widgets and layout. With that said, I’d like to have the home desktop change based upon location, NFC tag, or some other automated event. I can’t seem to find a way to do this though.
I was thinking a custom script might be the answer, but the API doesn’t seem to show a setDesktop method. Would Tasker or some other automation app have a tap into this method? Am I missing something? Any way to do this?

Tasker has an LL Plugin, which can do this very easily. But I’m sure a simple script can do this, but I’m not an expert on that. Maybe some script expert will chime in and guide you in that…
Thanks for the info on Tasker. I too was thinking this could be scripted, but while the API shows a method to get the home desktop reference from the lighting object, it doesn’t seem to have a corresponding set method.
There’s a Lightning Action, goto desktop, which you can use as a short cut. If that gives you any lead… But don’t know about the trigger part
Right, I can see ways to switch desktops automatically… and I think what I may have to do is set the Home and Back button actions to just “close all windows” or something in order to get the behavior I’m after.
I’m interested in this too.
