Jay M Absolutely right. What I found different is, it runs shell script commands in android shell and retrieves data / services to be displayed in widget. Well… I’m not an android developer. I thought this just might tinker some brilliant minds in this community and open some more customization possibilities.

Custom views are better in case of RAM/Battery usage, because they are inactive when Lightning doesn’t need them, unlike widgets.
You can run shell commands in LL Scripting too.
