Long press the screen press the + press add widget or press menu button then do this^
If you came from a stock launcher some widgets might not be visible in LL this is because they can only be used on the stock launcher, eg. Sonys Top Contacts widget, Samsung’s S widgets, that’s not a bug and unfortunately nothing can be done about it, it will be the same with any other launcher.
Long press on the screen, then press Add object, then press dynamic text and scroll through until you find battery

In nova launcher there are certain functions in widget that I cannot find here… Some of the widgets that appear in nova do not in lightning. Activities are also missing. Or they do require scripting ?
