Is it possible to use LLX with Tasker (and scripts) to create widgets when Tasker profiles are active?

Is it possible to use LLX with Tasker (and scripts) to create widgets when Tasker profiles are active? For example, I want to have short cuts and widgets appear when I get in my car and then remove again when I leave the car.

For a real example of this, if anyone has a Galaxy Note and uses the stock Samsung launcher; when you remove the pen from the device, the launcher adds a new section with widgets and apps for use with the pen.

I know I could use a separate desktop and have Tasker switch to it when I am in the car but would like to be able to create items on the fly.

Thanks

  1. You can’t create widgets, but you can hide and show them.

  2. Creating widgets is complex, and worst  it may require user confirmation. I second Lukas Morawietz : toggling visibility using Item.setVisibility is a better option.

Excellent. Is battery and memory usage reduced when the widgets are hidden?

  4. No, it’s the same, the difference will be barely noticeable.
