Re: SAVING FOLDER STYLES

Re: SAVING FOLDER STYLES

I haven’t found a way to save what I want & apply to a new folder with the new editing method. For example, font sizes, color etc for individual items. Tried with both setting desktop & the paint brush in editing. Folder attributes chg but not item. What might I be missing?

  1. Terri Hine try opening your folder, then long tap on what item you’re wanting to change.

  2. and once you are in edit mode, the copy/paste style buttons are in the right side bar (long tap on icons to get a brief description). This is for individual items.

If you want to copy the container style, use the function in the settings screen: save/load style.

Ok, I seem to be having problems globally setting fonts. For example, in folder, must I change 1 item, then paste it for every other? I did this for one folder, saved the style, & everything copies except for folder but not individual items, i.e., fonts, displaying icon or not

    Open folder, Edit layout…

If anything is sel, copy is active, and works on the 1 item.

If nothing is sel, copy is not active, preventing copypaste of settings which were applied to all items.

Pierre, I did watch that video (a few times, actually) before asking here, but thank you. I still maintain that (or cannot figure out) one cannot save text/icon settings in a style & successfully apply it to another folder. The folder attributes apply correctly, but not the items. For ex.; set font to 10, 2 lines (NOT selecting indiv. item) Save style, apply to another folder, text reverts to 12, 1 line. I’m usually pretty quick on picking up things like this, I swear 😉 And, I’ve been using LL for a couple of yrs, so I’m familiar with program…idk, but thanks anyway for all who responded.

When you create a new folder,  if it has customization already, I think those override the load-style.   On mine, new folders open to my preferred size and location, and title color, as it was at one point, and I’m pretty sure this is why laoding a style seems to have no affect.

  7. CK Portable says:

The built-in styles do work, the one I saved is not working, I’ll look at the video again.

  8. Sorry, I thought you were wanting to change properties for all items, not load a previously saved style.

And I just checked this… It does not work!!! It seems that the saved style is applied correctly but it is saved with default values, hence the issue. I’ll look at this asap.
