In ‘All Apps’
In ‘All Apps’
1. Alphabetical
1.1 Can folders used to group apps?
1.2 Besides tapping search, can there be an alphabetical bar for quick scrolling to apps starting with the alphabet tapped?
2. ‘Recently launched’ & ‘Used often’ don’t reflect apps that are launched by non-LLX methods and are thus limited in utility.
3. ‘Recently updated’ doesn’t reflect all apps that were updated. I think it reflects recently installed apps better though I’m not sure how completely this information is captured.
Can ‘All apps’ be scripted?
Best regards
1.1 yes, use the “my drawer” tab
1.2 not ATM, this could be a feature request
4. Yes, do you want to run scripts in the app drawer or do you want to script your own app drawer?
The “recently launched” list is the one given by the Android system. It follows some special rules, and IMHO it is not always what users need, but I can’t change it. The “Used often” is also limited unfortunately, and at the moment I don’t see a way to be notified of apps launched outside of the launcher 🙁
Updated should gather updated and installed, at least it seems to work well on my device (it use it quite often). Maybe there is an issue behind this. Do you know whether it seems to fail for a particular app, or maybe all ?
Thanks for the ‘My drawer’ tip. I will experiment with it. Any links to help on scripting for app drawer of LLX?
is it possible to keep track of app utilization by keeping track of CPU utilization in foreground – like in the ‘Battery’ in ‘Android settings’.
as for updates, i had a few ‘Recently updated’ in ‘Google play’ which don’t appear at the top of the list of LLX including YouTube, Google drive, what’sapp, notification toggle, permission friendly apps, ultimate guitar tabs and chords.
I took some screen shots but at present don’t know how to attach.
You can’t attach pictures to a post. You’d have to make a new one.
Maybe it would be possible to use tasker to create a custom recently updated screen. Do you have tasker?
Here is a script, that creates a custom app drawer, maybe you can start with it… http://www.pierrox.net/android/applications/lightning_launcher/wiki/doku.php?id=script_app_drawer
