Everytime I click on a panel I get an ever growing dark circle in the middle of the panel.
Everytime I click on a panel I get an ever growing dark circle in the middle of the panel. Is this call “selection effect”? Am I seing the Material selection effect?
It’s driving me nuts, and I can’t contain it within the icon that was selected. I can’t turn it off no matter what I try, and it shows up on any click or swipe. This doesn’t happen on my desktop or a sidebar. Thanks.

Edit panel, and with no icon selected, tap the paint brush icon, go to misc tab and tap selection effect.
Oddly enough the effect went away on its own. It seemed like a bug at the time becsuse it looked so rediculous.
Right now my selection effect is still set to “Material” but it doesn’t happen. I also didn’t see a “disable” option.
The anoying selection effect just came back. No changes done on my part. Whats the easiest way for me to record my screen to report a bug?
In the Box tab, change the Selected Background to some transparent color.
Also, you may want to set this for entire desktop, not just your panel.
I prefer holo personally.
