Unsure if this has already been discussed, however is there a way to pin icons, then have them adjust position according to page? Basically like OSX bar when you hover over them, but vertical wise and according to the page?

Not really sure what you mean.

But you can edit the item, properties, misc, and set the pin item to vertical, horizontal or both. Try them and check if that’s what you want. Otherwise could you explain a bit more what you want to achieve?

In essence I have figured out how to achieve what I want to, other than I’m struggling to figure out if there’s a way to force panels to scroll with the desktop?

For example, I swipe left on the desktop, so the panel does as well?

I guess you already tried removing the panel (if the panel scrolls like the desktop…why not place the items directly at the desktop?) so I must say what you need is a script.

Basically want it to be sectioned separately from the desktop so that it scrolls with it, yet can be scrolled independently as well if need be.

  6. You can disable panel scrolling by setting its scroll direction to “No scrolling” , this way flinging on the panel will scroll the desktop, but then items in the panel that are out of view won’t be reachable of course. You can’t both scroll both the desktop and the panel at the same time with the same gesture, I mean if both containers can scroll the app can’t guess if the gesture is done to scroll the panel or the desktop.
