Lukas Morawietz tried this and its not working for some reason. Tried regular and dynamic text. I configured the format in the script, set the “item” event on resume…. i think im missing something.
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Open up any app and resume lightning. Do you get a dialog?
]]>
< ![CDATA[
No, nothing. Regular still reads “text” and dynamic still reads its wacky date format
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Wonderful! Works like a charm for me, thanks!

Curtis Sylvester Jr. I forgot to say that. The script requires a minimum API level of 17 (4.2). Maybe I can increase downward compatibility, but not today.
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Oops hahaha im 1 api just below that.
]]>

Evelien Wijbenga fixed
Curtis Sylvester Jr. reduced minimum API level (I think so, didn’t check everything)

Lukas Morawietz I have a feeling the script keeps my phone awake, noticed a remarkable increase in battery drain after using this as calendar widget. Didn’t have an in depth look though. Would it be possible to add a (customisable?) timeout value to refresh the calendar data in a future version (if you ever plan on making any)?
]]>
< ![CDATA[
It actually worked. Only problem now is that even after i configured the script for MMMMM dd, yyyy format it still shows in dd. MM format.
Also this may not be script related but do you know a fix for calendar days being a day off? I have an entry for may 21 but for some reason the script says its may 20.
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Morgan Moyaerts This is completely unrelated. It gets refreshed when it gets active, not on a time base.
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Curtis Sylvester Jr. Be sure to change all three patterns
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Curtis Sylvester Jr. The day off might be a script issue, but it’s correct for me. The only solution I see is to give a manual toggle.
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Curtis Sylvester Jr. Does this occur on all entries or just all-day ones?
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Its on all day entries
]]>
< ![CDATA[
All 3 patterns are changed but still shows dd. MM. And the day off is for all day entries.

Did you try to restart Lightning or force the resume event in any other way?
]]>
< ![CDATA[
I have rebooted my tablet 8 times for other reasons but that didnt help.
Sometimes my tablet develops a freaking hitch between bass booster pro, music player for pad/phone, my system settings and my notification tray where either bass booster quits or music player for pad/phone locks up which causes my system settings to quit, and if im accessing my system settings through my notification tray my entire tablet locks up. So i never had a chance to just restart lightning.

Again, it’s working for me. I neither have your phone nor know what you did, I have no idea why it fails. Sorry
]]>
< ![CDATA[
It works, just something i did is not sitting well. I know i changed the parts where “dd. MM.” are to “MMMMM dd, yyyy” and the part with HH:mm to hh:mma. I think i messed up when i did that
]]>

I think SimpledateFormat does not allow commas… try to use dots.
]]>
< ![CDATA[
I hate scripts. I found the issue. Apparently i had 2 of the same script. I had one set to the resume event while i was editing the other. DUMBASS … it works, i just had to swap one with the other
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Curtis Sylvester Jr. Does the issue with days off remain?
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Yes. Sorry i just caught this. I thought it might have something to do with calendar giving bad info to the script but i cant find the setting that fixes it
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Curtis Sylvester Jr. Uploaded a fix.
]]>
< ![CDATA[
thanks. I didnt think the script had anything to do with it
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Morgan Moyaerts I have to revert what I said before. The script was keeping cursors in Ram, which may lead to a battery drain. Fix will be uploaded in some minutes.
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Nice, thanks. will try again soon then.
]]>
< ![CDATA[
How can I edit the appearance? For now it shows all the event on the same line. Which part of the script I need to edit?
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Ruben Sukiasyan No need to edit the script. Just follow the instructions and allow more than one line on the item.
]]>
< ![CDATA[
I followed. You mean Max value?
]]>
< ![CDATA[
Yes, I do. Could you send me a template with that item so I can debug?
