Before i get to what this is about i want to start by saying that i dont know if this is a request for a tutorial, a bug, or a feature request. feel free to place this in the right category.

i took 3 screenshots. the first is of the system wallpaper. the second is of the desktop wallpaper over the system wallpaper. and the third is from within the app drawer.

basically the first wallpaper is what the second wallpaper is supposed to look like and the second wallpaper is where the first wallpaper was supposed to go. the app drawer is only involved in the sense that i want it to look the same way. mind you this is a portrait wallpaper (purposely) because i wanna be able to use ANY picture i want reguardless of its dimensions (if thats the right word) in ANY orientation i want.

i have had this issue from the beginning and i dont recall if it was ever addressed but here it is now. the desktop wallpap…… ok feature request here is to impliment the same h/w adjustment sliders for the desktop wallpaper at least AND/OR center the system wallpaper. here ill show you. hopefully they are visible enough to see.

I agree, it’s really non-intuitive that the destop wallpaper doesn’t stretch, or can be customized.

(Of course one use Photo Editor to enlarge to screen size as a workaround).

landscape pictures i can use no problem, its portrait pictures in landscape mode i have a problem with (system AND desktop wallpaper settings). i found that ES FILE EXPLORER lets me show the whole picture without cropping. yet if i want it centered i have to use multilive wallpaper.

Regarding the system wallpaper I don’t want to mess with it any more, never. It is boring and there are too much manufacturer/version dependent behaviours.

I thought the desktop wallpaper was the most simple thing to configure since there is… no option. One pixel in the image on the screen is displayed on one pixel on the screen. The whole thing is displayed centered. As a consequence all you need to do is to prepare your image (scale it, pan it or rotate it as you want) before to pick it in LL. There is nothing more that can be done with this, otherwise my suggestion is to use a live wallpaper like Curtis Sylvester Jr. is doing.
