Would be possible to choose which items close the folder when they are launched?

Would be possible to choose which items close the folder when they are launched?

Maybe some easier: how about disallow widgets to close folders (when you have the ‘close when an item is launched’ checked I mean)

I have a folder with games, so when I click one the folder, it close. But I also have a widget to toggle media sound…I need to reopen the folder every time I click it. (No, I can’t place the widget outside the folder. It’s almost full screen)

Test out a floating widget app like airwidget or widget anywhere. You can resize, change opacity, and hide to status bar with some. Or try Overlays which can also be hidden or toggled via a side bar and can blacklist apps you don’t want it to pop up in, so when you close your game the widget is there. Or the other option would be Tasker, which is too much to set up to do a simple thing.

Hmm. I wonder if it would be feasible (at least for tablets or Android desktops) to have Floating folders or panels that can be toggled attached/detached(float/unfloat) or maybe converted to a widget and act as an app/shortcut/widget banner/launcher. Make folders behave as they do in a PC.

Hum, curiously I would think that widgets should not close folders by default. I mean the click action should not be triggered at all, except if it has been explicitly configured. This might be a bug, I will have a look at this.

TrianguloY I confirm that the global item tap action is executed for a widget. I think it should not be the case, only if it has been explicitly set, right ?

Pierre Hébert: I have the folder, item settings set to tap: ‘unset’ and also the widget. But when in click it the folder close (because I have checked the ‘close folder when an item is launched’)

Not sure what do you want (to say that I’m not in the beta on this device)

I mean that the launcher should not catch the click event on a widget because it should be processed by the widget only, not LL, except if the tap action has been configured for the widget. But at the desktop or folder level, the close folder action (which is triggered upon item launch and click) should not be processed.

So…this is a bug. Because the folder is closed. (Also tested in the beta. Still happen)
