I know you want now to focus on bugs, but you can still add this to the to-do list for the future (in case it is not yet…which I’m not sure).
We can add shadows to the labels…what about add also shadows to the icons? Perhaps you can use the holo selection effect to make them.

Bugs and a few important features that should have been implemented a long time ago.
Regarding shadows, Android allows a drop shadow when drawing anything, so it should work the same for icons (but not widgets). Holo is a bit different because it is a combination of edge detection and blur.
