can we have an option where when using stop point and still have overscroll effect, for example if I swipe and hold in one direction screen would move even past the stop point and I can see my widgets that are placed beyond stop point. But as soon as I let go, screen would go back to end of stop point…..this is just like when we don’t have any stop points and by swiping we would overscroll and come back to our screen…..I’m sorry if I’m not being clear 🙂

Yes I think I understand, this would be nice but technically this is difficult to do, though not impossible in theory.

lets look at it this way, what if we consider a widget that we want, lets call “B” after stop point unlike our normal widgets…. and when adding this “B” widgets we tell lightning launcher to consider it unlike normal widgets…then in this case you don’t have to alter anything regarding animations and launcher will overscroll like there is no widget …!!

Can you pin or lock it to the desktop to achieve that?

Well, in fact things are more complex than that. To achieve overscroll, one has to know in advance where to stop scrolling . This is easy to compute when looking at desktop boundaries but a lot less easy when dealing with stop points. This is due to the way they are handled internally.
