At the moment I don’t wish to add double tap because it introduces a delay when tapping an item. The reason is that before to decide whether a tap is a simple tap, you need to wait a bit and see whether a second tap happens. The consequence is that each time you do a single tap, there is a small delay that give the feeling that the app is laggy and I don’t like that. One solution would be to dynamically adjust the delay according to the double tap configuration but this isn’t exactly easy.
