I have phone with 1920x1080px display and 13mpix camera, how is visible on pictures.

For example i select photo where i am 😉 , my son and my daughter. This photo have 4608x2592px.

If i need set this picture as LL wallpaper or in new beta for icon, etc, after open croping screen i see my photo, but maximum is only 1152x648px for portrait layout or 576x324px for landscape layout.

Right now, i can’t set my photo to 1920×1080 wallpaper. (i know, i can crop, and in settings for wallpaper is option fit height and weight)…

1) Can you doing something with this situation?

For example enable load picture in full dimension and enable zoom in/out function for cropping? Crop rectangle will show 0,0 and 2592,4608 and some zoom info.

2) if i need for example 500x500px from photo, i must doing calculate (1152-500, 648-500). Can you show in cropping screen, and crop rectangle screen automaticaly numbers for actual selecting box from picture?

3) this need some function from point 2)… After tap to actual numbers (for actual select box), enable set weight and heigt (for example 500,500 ,max as dimension from picture, not more), and show this box in center of picture. Right now user can move this box to position where you need…

You could set this image as your profile picture 😉

Regarding the size, big images must be downscaled so that their size is below the size of the screen (limitation with the underlying opengl texture size). The issue is that downscale must be a power of two, 2, 4, 8, 16, etc.

Here, the 4608×2592 size requires a 4x downscale to fit in the 1920×1080 screen, hence the (relatively) small final size 1152×648. This is a tradeoff: either make it work everywhere but with a suboptimal quality, or make it unstable depending on devices.

Ok, if you allow width/height selection, can you show second info about dimensions (actual width/height selection * used downscale number)? Pierre Hébert

Only width and height, but not downscale
