Hi Pierre Hébert.
Hi Pierre Hébert.
Installed chronus widget. On launching it said your launcher doesn’t support APPWIDGET_MIN_HEIGHT API call introduced in Android 4.1 and thus will not be able to render properly. Is this a limitation of LLX and if yes then any plans to fix?

Hey Amit, what phone, android version, etc. are you using currently? My note 3 has the latest LLX and I use Chronus. I just attempted to add a widget and it added without issue. Are you perhaps running a custom ROM or anything?

I am not aware of any “APPWIDGET_MIN_HEIGHT API call”.
The only Google results I can see are linked with this bogus message 🙂
There exist minimum width/height properties and options on widgets, but I don’t plan to use these values and prevent the user to reduce the widget’s area below this provided dimensions, nor altering the widget size through options from the launcher side.
The widget may have very good reasons to specify a minimum size, but IMHO, in a customizable app such as LLX, this is up to the user to decide which area is given to the widget. And if the area is not enough, then the widget has the ability to render differently, but a bogus message is a bad idea (IMHO again).

Got it and I agree with you.
Still, can you have a look at the below links and see if they are relevant? (Caution: I’m not an Android developer and can’t say anything about the validity/relevance of the contents provided in below links)

I tried adding the Flex widget this time like in the XDA post but it still works fine. Very odd. Probably not relevant but from what I’m reading the A350 should be on KitKat android version 4.4.2. You might check for a system update if you are still on 4.2.2.

I checked these links previously, but really there is no “APPWIDGET_MIN_HEIGHT API call”. There is a however a mechanism used to tell the widget its size has been changed, so that it can change its layout, but I confirm this mechanism is implemented in LLX. It has been introduced in Android 4.1. This has nothing to do with a minimum size though.
Still, I second Jacob Barton on the fact that an update could help.
