This might look outrageous/inappropriate/invalid suggestion.

But will it be possible to add support for dashclock and it’s extensions in LL?
I can’t think of some good use cases right now. But a few are as follows:
1) Show cell network stats on LL
2) Populate dynamic text with real time stock market updates

you may be using the wrong launcher if you want third-party plugin integration … LL is built to be light and flexible, what you describe can already be achieved with bindings/scripts in LL alone, or with Tasker

Wern-Yuen Tan I disagree. Even Tasker is a third party app for LL. Do you think the Tasker plugin was unnecessary addition to LL?
It’s also not making sense to me that how it will make it heavy and any LESS flexible by adding this.
Yes, most of the things are achievable with scripting, bindings and Tasker, but wouldn’t it be a great if I could use these features right away instead of doing coding for them?

Wern-Yuen Tan One more thing I missed. We all have seen the incredible coding skills and responsiveness to the suggestions Pierre Hébert has. That’s why I can always ask for more.

Amit Patil if you share the free realtime stock feed with Json-api
I’ LL try to work something out for you in script/template

Jappie Toutenhoofd Thank you very much for offering me help. I appreciate it ☺. But stock market feed is just a use case. My real concern was supporting dashclock extensions.
(For stock market ticker I think I’d have to try Autotools + Tasker).

From what I understand Dashclock extensions are meant to display something in Dashclock, not the opposite ?

Pierre Hébert I got this idea from some sidebar app. It supports dashclock extensions. You can add a tile which will have data coming from a dashclock extension in the sidebar.
Even another widget app ‘Chronus’ also supports dashclock extensions. Dashclock being an open source app, I think it is possible to add this support in other apps.

Ok, I understand know!

I like the idea, I think it is worth to take a look at it.
