   9 patch is just a small png image that has special areas specified in the file… 1 for section that is allowed to stretch, and another to specify area to contain content. These can be specified for folder and panel backgrounds, as well as icons.

   
   

   The one complicating issue is that at this time they must be compiled to be used in LL. Basically built into an apk, then extracted.

   Depending on a few things, I may add a “Drawing” item. This drawing item would be one or more shapes. I am considering several options to configure this drawing but as you may think, there are a lot of possibilities (shape types, color, fill/stroke options, and so on).
