Any chance of being able to export/backup/restore templates from arbitrary locations?
Any chance of being able to export/backup/restore templates from arbitrary locations?
Here’s the thing: somehow my LightningLauncher directory has become unwriteable, making it impossible for me to backup my current configuration. I also can’t use any of my templates as they’re stored on my SD card — since the default directory is unwriteable, I can’t get them over to where LL looks for them.

you can restore a template from any path by sending an net.pierrox.lightning_launcher.APPLY_TEMPLATE intent with the extra “p” containing the path.

Thanks Lukas! That helps with at least part of it. Is there a similar capability so I can export or back things up?

Yes, but it’s not easy… http://blog.shvetsov.com/2013/02/access-android-app-data-without-root.html?m=1

Maybe it would be easier to find why the storage has become unavailable ?

I had a problem like that when I linked the Lightning folder with FolderMount, backup and restore does not work when it’s activated

Pierre Hébert I’d be interested in finding out how it happened but I have no idea when. This is the first time since I’ve had this phone (6 months or more) that I’ve tried to do a backup. I suspect it hapened when I rooted and unrooted and restored LLX from a backup.
Any chance you’ll add full path support to export/backup/restore from the settings menu?

Have you tried remounting the storage?

Lukas Morawietz I’m not rooted so I don’t have that option.

Tony Sumrall was it a LL backup or from another third party tool ? Some of them have serious issues with permissions. If so there will need a hack to get out of here.
